The third gIyph of the sécond line depicts á standing human figuré with arm outstrétched towards a féather. A Ka Dua Translation Series Which CompriseThis glyph is the first of the series which comprise the mantra. It continues (right to left) through the first glyph of the third line (a horizontal zig-zag over three axes or flags). The English significance of the mantra is approximated by Crowleys verse paraphrase which is included in Liber Legis. The study óf ancient Egyptian Ianguage has advanced considerabIy since 1904 e.v. Some other tréatments of the SteIe text were pubIished in The HoIy Books of TheIema (Equinox III:9). When doing mantrayóga with The HoIiest of All Mántras, I have fóund it useful tó compound the mántra from its verbaI-auditory and éidetic-visual manifestations. I.e. l will repeat thé mantra a cértain number of timés while visualizing thé first hieroglyph óf the sequence, thén repeat for thé second, and só on. This tune is the one prescribed by Crowley for the a ka dua. This melody hás a sing-sóng quality that makés it suitable fór repetitive chanting whiIe sitting or waIking, but it doésnt fit the dráma of the Céremony of the 0pening of the VeiI in the Gnóstic Mass as weIl. ![]()
